Camperdown
Yes, a great show but rather hot in the hall. Shuri Koya was my favourite too.
RMweb Premium 70000 Britannia Posted June 25, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 25, 2023 (edited) Enjoyed the tropical atmosphere at Perth and it was great to meet up with friends. Congratulations to Simon and Norm on the creation of Shuri Koya - excellent, and thoroughly enjoyed operating such a unique layout. Hats off to all for keeping going in the heat! Kilbowie was my personal fave, but a close second was the fascinating Shuri Koya. Always good to see something completely different for new inspiration. Well worth the trip and the money. Cheers, ’152 Thanks for you kind comments. A really busy day yesterday, it never ceases to amaze me how an ice rink can be so warm! Was great to a big que of folks eager to get in and our two American layouts seem to have performed well on their first outing. Yip, it always gets hot in the halls, even with the doors open. One of our younger and presumably more enterprising members was planning on popping across to Aldi and Lidl to buy up all their ice lollies and then selling them at the back door for an extortionate price! 2
Waverley47708
The weather held for a fun time at the Saturday evening BBQ organised by the club fir exhibitors. A BBQ, a bar, and train rides on our miniature railway set in woodland at our Wester Pickston site just outside Perth. If you are exhibiting next year be sure to sign up for the Saturday night event.
beaumoc
Thank you to the organisers and exhibitors for my first Perth show today. It was well worth the 2.5 hour drive to get there. The wallet tool a battering, but since its only my second show in a year, i thought the wife wouldn't mind. Edited June 25, 2023 by beaumoc

greg81
Great show. Me and my son went along yesterday and really enjoyed it. Shuri Koya was really nice. Love the Japanese HO stuff. Great to see Michaelerplatz before it retired. Picked up a lovely ACME Traxx loco from Contikits at a very good price. Could have bought more!… Those Sutton 25s look amazing! Loads of great layouts. Will be back.
