I didn’t know the kit was shocking so I just built it as per the instructions.

IMHO, it's a lot harder work than it should be, your effort eclipses my (part started/part finished depending on your point of view) effort!

Nowt wrong with it when I built it - it just requires a methodical and staged approach.
