Continuing our walk through the Nairobi Railway Museum, we come upon some of the more quaint items.

 

Firstly, Basil's bike:

Thankfully, the bike is still extant in the museum today:

Behind it are the Queen's seats. I wonder if she ever visited the museum later on.

Going back further in time, we come upon the scene below - one of many period photos in the museum's collection. Anyone fancy a micro layout? The helmets could be solved by looking at military modeller's figure ranges.

Another interesting contraption in this scene from the early days of construction, somewhere West of Mombasa:

Lastly there is this ganger's trolley outside, which I like the look of.

I assume the side nets would be filled with stone to add weight?
