A wonderful day at the  Statfold Show.  The committee, show organisers, car park stewards, exhibitors, traders and friends old and new who made it such an enjoyable day all deserve credit.  A massive amount of work had been put in by everyone, and it was a fitting celebration of 50 years of the 009 Society. To those attending as visitors on Sunday - you’re in for a treat, Keith

I had a brilliant day at Statfold today, arrived at just after 10 and didn't leave until after the show itself closed at 4pm.

A spectacular line up of layouts which were all very well presented. Simply put, one of the best exhibitions I have visited.

I do hope the 009 Society have done well out of the Public Attendance of the event. I know it is a special event for the 50th but it would be very very nice if this could become an annual event.

To all those involved in organising a great big THANK YOU for all your hard work. 😁

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. There were lots of smiling faces on both Saturday and Sunday and many appreciative comments that has made it all worthwhile. It has been an immense effort by our organising team, but worth it to make it a memorable occasion. Statfold is a special place and they couldn't have been more helpful. If you've never been there, do go!

An exceptionally good advert for the hobby as a whole, not just the OO9 aspect of it.  I do not envy whoever had to choose 'Best in Show'.  I found it very difficult to pick a favourite five!

We got around that one by asking visitors on Saturday to vote for the 'Most Appealing Layout'. Pretty well every layout got a vote or two, but the clear winner was Kurseong, a very fine model of a famous station on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. John Crane was the deserving winner.

Was a good show, some fantastic layouts, was with my friend Stephen and my wife. Even she enjoyed it. And the special touch was the possibility to visit the museum as well as a ride on a steam train.

Just a few pics and videos from the weekend, I barely got off the layout so not much variety I’m afraid. With 55 layouts and the Statfold collection it was very successful and seems to have been universally enjoyed.
