Dust removal from Bachmann body

I’ve bought a secondhand Bachmann branchline bargain loco but it is covered in dust. If I remove the body from the chassis, what is the best way to clean the body please? Wash it with clean water and a tiny bit of washing up liquid??

I use an old fashioned shaving brush to remove most of the dust from models.  Persistent dust can be carefully removed with a damp cloth.  Removing the body and washing it is to be avoided in case small details are lost and electrical contacts damaged.

Camera lens brush, aerosol (compressed air) cleaner or if you have an airbrush, whack the pressure up and blast away; good for hard to reach areas around delicate details.
