CUTLER2579
Gilbert, i saw this earlier "The new V2 ep" and as Dr Gerbil-Fritters Esq states:- This seems to have stirred little interest, to my surprise. Any thoughts? it's clearly streets ahead of the old V2. It looks like a V2 at least, and seems to have some of the key features nicely modelled. My reservation would only be Delivery dates. Regards,Santa Claus.

At least we now know it hasn't been shelved indefinitely. 2
RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted November 29, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted November 29, 2019 The sun continued to shine, trains ran, and were photographed. First on the scene was the second New Clee fish, photographed by sheer coincidence while passing a lovely new signal. Impressive from any angle. 34 1
RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted November 30, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted November 30, 2019 The K1 is waiting for a path to take its parcels vans off into the yards. So it's a bit crowded at the North end with the works of Thompson and Peppercorn.

RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted November 30, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted November 30, 2019 It's all looking very black at PN just now, as two Immingham B1s share the limelight. Shoddy 61143, though still with front end adornment, will take the 8.57 to Grimsby, while 61079 will carry on to London. The fish gets one more exposure. See what I did there, clever, huh? We need a new ladder.
RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted December 1, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted December 1, 2019 Time for a 9F. After which 61143 heads for home. Advance warning. I am likely to come over all philosophical later. 34

RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted December 1, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted December 1, 2019 Philosophy has been delayed, as golf club politics have blown up again. Yes, even on a Sunday. I have run some trains though, and taken some photos, and sworn at a squirrel. Here is an approaching B1. It is having a lurch over some pointwork. Then we focus on Sir Walter Scott, simmering in the bay while waiting for the arrival of the Colchester- Glasgow. 22
RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted December 2, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted December 2, 2019 Next on the Down main was another Top Shed A1, seen as it approached and then emerged from under Crescent Bridge.
CUTLER2579
Gilbert, as we look at it is the right hand smoke deflector loose or is it an optical illusion.

Just sprung away a little Derek, but as usual the camera makes it look much worse. It will be going in to works shortly, as someone forgot it should have a different diagram boiler, so all can be remedied then.
RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted December 2, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted December 2, 2019 Sea Eagle is at the head of the first sleeping car express of the evening, so our man recorded the formation, though I think he may have done it before. Still no time for philosophising.
RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted December 3, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted December 3, 2019 Today I shall be shopping, followed by paddling and a bit of shivering. At PN though, it is still a balmy evening, as Cambridge's B2 Framlingham enters with the Colchester- Glasgow. It is a long train this evening, though most of it is still parcels traffic, so the B2 ends up standing well clear of the platform.

I really would like another slleping car formation, but I really fancy the Gresley 66ft 6 cars, which creates a large problem.

Norman Saunders of Just Tracks built the pointwork on the station side. If I remember correctly it is C&L based, but a lot of it was scratchbuilt. Fiddle yard side is Peco code 75. RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted December 3, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted December 3, 2019 Another WD heads for Ferme Park, as it has done many times before. and as it plods onwards, a J50 comes to a stand on the Down slow, at the end of a shift shunting South yard.

I've spoken to Andy at Isinglass about 3D printing the Gresley 66 footers and he was quite positive about the idea. If that comes off, I'm sure I could knock one or two up for you.
