Reflected in the window pane of a coach stabled in the Severn Valley Railway's carriage shed at Kidderminster, 50044 Exeter and 40106 Atlantic Conveyor stand in the adjacent diesel depot yard.

Ideally I'd like to have been able to stand a little bit further away from the coach for a wider view, but the limit of the carriage shed walkway and the lenses that I had with me prevented that option.

An unexpected 12 hour shift meant that I could cycle home after work in the sunshine instead of the thick fog which was lying at 05.30.

6X13, the Dollands Moor to Toton Toyota car train, headed by 66076 cuts through the early morning mist at Wymondham Crossing at 8.30 this morning.

And a little closer

Gone in a puff of smoke.

The south portal of Mytholmes Tunnel on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway after L&Y 'Ironclad' 52044 had passed through on 27th March 2023.

The image was taken from the verandah of a brake van during an organised photo shoot along the line.

In the late afternoon sun on 27th March 2023 and framed by the arch of Bridgehouse Lane bridge, Haworth Shed on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway is home to Pacer 144011, BR Standard 4MT 78078, 37075 and 08266.

That really looks as if it belongs in the "When then real thing looks like a model" thread.

Over bright LED lights, dodgy track laying (probably by the younger brother), while Dad's streamline flexi in the foreground just looks soooo smooooth.

El cheapo wagons showing translucent in the light along with some toilet brush trees.

The morning pick-up freight blasts through a deserted Keighley on 27th March 1953 2023, with ex-L&Y 'Ironclad' 52044 in charge.

Are they Bi-directional working lines, as both the units have tail lights on.

Terry.

The lines aren’t Bi-directional.  They’re, reading left to right, the Up Greetland and Down Greetland at Salterhebble Tunnel just south of Halifax.

Well spotted Terry. 👍

I see a little silhouetto of a man...........QJ6850, with QJ7105 hidden by steam behind it, waits to depart Lindong, Inner Mogolia, with an eastbound freight to Chabuga - 21 February 2005.

I've only just found this post. I was there in Feb 2005 myself. We timed our visit to coincide with a Farrails tour which was supposed to charter steam across the pass, but we found steam still in everyday action anyway.

I'm working my way through your Flickr account. I'm very jealous that you went as early as 1988 - my first was 1993.

BTW do you model Chinese railways? Do you know Peter Haworth?

No I collect UK, USA and Euro N-scale/N gauge. I've heard of Peter and seen some of his photography, but never actually met him

Driving around the canefields on sunset and seeing the smoke from a cane burn off, I said "let's drive down that dirt track and see if there's anything around we can make something arty farty out of", and low and behold on Pioneer sugar mill's 1067mm network, B-B diesel hydraulic locomotive 'Jerona' was heading its train of loaded sugar cane away from Maidavale sidings 2 & 3, on 2 August 2022.

I’ve got a couple of pics in my phone, both from wrexham, one from the 80s…

one from the same vantage point a few years back

ive got an app on the phone which allows me to blend them together, nothing scientific, just done with my finger, I think it looks quite good for a few minutes work

or another option could be if wrexham still had semaphores and it’s north end boxes
