bluebottle
Neasden Junction.... why do some folk treat the railway like a council tip? But look at it another way; you and the person providing the material in the foreground have combined to create a dramatic composition. A council tip or an open air gallery for the Avant-garde? Light and shade at Bury Bolton Street... Wasn't too sure about this one due to the bleaching out of the train, but I like the slight interaction between the two train crew members...

coachmann
An attempt to put the railway in its environment at Llysfaen in pre-A55 Expressway days. Station road is on the right with its LNWR employees cottages, BR mess hut and lamp room on the remains of the platform that was once Llysfaen station (closed 5th January 1931). The railway climbed at 1-in-100 in a cutting past sidings on level ground leading to the distant quarry buildings. Another shot at Tan-Y-Lan using the trees as props this time. A Class 40 is scurrying towards Colwyn Bay on a cold November day. Note my Datsun Jap Crap and Mrs coaches 'L' plates....
