sharkman
I was playing around with CV5 & 6 on your suggestion's to use a Bachmann Class 37 on a small layout but I was'nt really satisfied with it so rather then make a note of the original values I decided to reset CV8 to 8 but that was a stupid move as I think I've totally lost original f key sound's. The chip I've got I'm sure is not an original Bachmann sound as f9 was wheel squeel and f12 air ticking perhaps someone may be able to identify version (8-pin chip). I liked it a lot so anyone suggest a compable version for re-blowing (Refurbished 37). Ian
cassey jones
It sounds like you have a SWD mk4 sound chip?
SRman
If you mail, email or phone SWD (assuming it was theirs), they may send you a list of CV values so you can reprogram it yourself. If it is a Howes one, I know Bryan will send the printable CV list on request. If you are able to use Decoder Pro it will make resetting all the values a lot easier than having to do them one by one. Alternatively, either Howes or SWD will reblow the decoder to the latest standards for a modest fee.
