Just a few pictures (sorry mike tugsandsheds and his followers... ;)...).

Cheers,

Hi, I thought I would update my previous post on the Bachmann / Genesis kits RNA barrier wagons that I have done to go with my Bachmann FNA, since these pictures I have detailed the ends further with air control pipes. I just need to get some Fox transfer when I put a bulk order in and them weather them all to suit.

Will make a nice addition either on its own or with one of the Standrard ones ! I'll make sure any future pics aren't plastered over posts but confined to my Gallery ! :scratchhead:

Hi mike tugsandsheds,

only jesting on my part!! Personally, I think it's good to see people's model photos on here. It alerts us all to new releases and gives an early chance to view before buying. Just glad to be able to help others by posting them too.

I think the colour scheme suits the wagon well. It makes it look a little brighter than the standard wagon. I gather there is only one in real life - probably to advertise DRS, much like the Loadhaul and Transrail vans of the past.

Hope yours arrive shortly - I'm sure you'll be pleased with it. :declare:

Cheers,

Ixion.

Is 550011 still in blue? A source informs me that it's back to unpainted. Has anyone seen it recently?

Cheers,

Mick

EDIT - A search of wwwagons gives 37038/20308 with 550011/550015 on 6M60 Seaton-Sellafield.

A picture of same train on same day - http://www.flickr.com/photos/modernimages/5951125250/

Anybody know the date it was "depainted"?

Mine's arrived, although given Jims research a visit to it with a fine brush and some red aint will be in order

I think I will also keep this as a single wagon so that full detail can be applied at both ends.

Photos to follow in Gallery :)

Well here it is...

Detailed at both ends to be kept as a single wagon. 2012 could be the year I step up a level and peoduce a pair of 20/3's ??

  • 5 years later...

For traffic in the late 1980s / early 1990s, is the 38-346 the most appropriate with round buffers?

Do all FNAs today run with ovals?

Any ideas when buffer conversions took place?

I model 1989, and my collection of FNA photos shows a mixture of 50/50 buffer types. Looks like they were built that way.
