micknich2003
Gravy, another great job. Same design as used on the Hull & Barnsley, Denaby Branch, almost certainly a standard Saxby & Farmer issue. Mick.
Gravy Train
Hi There, Pointstaken, sorry for the delay replying, in answer to your question re planking is 7mm Slaters laped planking or boarding just laid onto the plasticard. The box was constructed from 40thou plasticard in the main with apertures cut out for the window frames and the windows formed from clear plastic with microstrip glued direct onto the clear plasic with Mek-Pak using a Mek brush. The steps were made up from 60thou microstrip from Evergreen always using the engineers squar to ensure all is squar and level etc, the chimney waas formed as one piece plastruct fixed direct to the base as opposed to fitting directly to the roof which can have a tendency to bend. Not shown in the photos are the slates which are formed from computer paper done on the computer by forming a grid, adfter printing out they are cut into strips with a sharp scalpel then with a blunt scalplel notched through 3/4 way up to form the definition then fixed directly to the plastic with liquid poly and dry brush painted when dry. I have used the presician paint matt enamel GWR stone 1 and 3 cheers peter Pete Harvey, will post up more work when time allows and thanks for the comments Peter cheers Peter
