Schaumann
its a harnby class 31 sound modelzone had it on offer for 140 quid so i tought why not haha but i need have to make some mods to it when i got it home i started it up and it sounded like a right bag of nails nothing like any train i'v heard before haha then i noticed of set of rear lights wasent working so i took it to bits and saw the cab parts had come loose fixed tho's and the lights worked well started it up without the body on and it sounded horrible realised there is a speaker fixing plate over the top of the speaker and it wasent screwed down tight so i modded the speaker box a little and sealed it all better then made a small shim on the lathe and screwed the speaker down properly started it up wow wot a differance turns out speaker is so big in these it was just vibrating evrything to death so loud u couldernt hear the sounds properly realy sounds quite good now alltho when u setoff the fan sound covers up all the engien notes which is rubbish so i ajusted the cvs and turned it off much better now runs great and sounds not bad atall evan the horns are nice and load and alot crisper i did have to turn the volume down to 40 tho its much louder than anyother loco i have Cheers Russ
