Waverley West
As you were, weather's back to normal and the rain's washed most of it away Thank goodness for that, keefer. I can put all the snow-making stuff away again now. I have thought that if I ever get bored of Waverley West one day, I'd change the season and add a fresh snowfall. I don't think there's much chance of me getting bored with the layout for some time though with all the plans I have. And then there are my plans to do Oban too, though I think that's going to be a retirement project the way things are going.

Don't you believe it, once you're retired, the domestic authorities come up with so many unexpected and unfamiliar tasks like hoovering, shopping, washing, ironing, and the like - it's not all "When I'm 64", I can assure you. Popular Post Waverley West
Hi folks, Nipped down to Waverley West this evening, as the sun was shining yet again... Flanges squeal as 47746 arrives from Haymarket in the golden late evening sun to take out an evening parcels train... Followed shortly after by an inspection saloon passing through... I've been busy this past week or two building baseboards for the new western fiddle yard. They are now basically finished and I'm just waiting for a couple of orders to come through (adjustable legs, dowels, etc.) and then I'll be able to finish them completely. Then it will be on to track laying. Photos to follow soon I hope. Dave Edited May 15, 2016 by Waverley West
MRDBLUE17
Hi Dave, Some superb, life like photos as normal. The weather in your time machine actually matched reality up here tonight and a 47 was at Waverley as well on the back of the Flying Scotsman hauled train running from Edinburgh out and back via the Fife circle. Here's a shot of it as it starts to cross the Forth Bridge. Never seen so many people out to watch a train including the police helicopter which must've had a superb view. All the best Mark

Popular Post Waverley West
Hi folks, Nipped down to Waverley West last night. Managed to see a few trains come and go. First out was 47715 with the push-pull to Queen Street... Next was an unusual visitor in the shape of 31174, which ran in light engine from Haymarket to head the next Newcastle service.... Popular Post Waverley West
After that, I took a DMU to Haymarket and sneaked round the depot... I nearly got spotted at one point, but fortunately this chap turned around at just the right moment... Even though it was late into the evening, there was still plenty of office activity. Something to do with problems with the 47/7 fleet apparently. Cheers for now, Dave Edited May 24, 2016 by Waverley West
