Penlan
Well as it's only 30 miles up country from me, and there's nothing on the calendar, I'd better give it a go, especially for Bridport Town. I know the village hall from Auto jumbles, so 10 layouts + trade should be interesting!!
RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted March 13, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 13, 2011 Hi, are there any more details on layouts and/ or traders attending this show ? Ta Stu
Penlan
DLT's Bridport Town's there, isn't that enough...... However the 009 NG Society's web page at http://www.009society.com/diary.php doesn't actually list Bridport Town, but I suppose that's because it's not '009', although I would have thought that to be a major draw, it would be/is the only reason I would attend anyway. There's just the following on their diary page for this show :- Cornwall NG Model Railway EXPO 2011: Threemilestone Community Centre, Near Truro, Cornwall. TR3 6DP [sat 26/3/2011] Opening Times: 10:00–16:00 10 layouts including in 009 "Kennel Vale", "Bratton Fleming", "Blaen Y Cwm", "Mbowla Mine" and two mini layouts. Plus more NG layouts in other scale/gauge combinations. The Society's Members Sales Stand will be there.
RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted March 13, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 13, 2011 Thanks for the info Sandy. I've been given special permission to go to this exhibition, seeing as it's in walking distance... If there is room, I could also take 'Wheal Tiny'... Thanks Sandy, In addition to the the 009 layouts listed and Bridport Town, Chris Peacock is showing Calstock Cotehele in 7mm scale, and there will be layouts in 5.5mm scale and 0n30. Unfortuneately the show does not have any internet presence apart from what is on here and the 009 Society website. It promises to be a very pleasant and friendly occasion, lets hope its a success for the organisers. See you there, Dave.T
Penlan
'......Chris Peacock is showing Calstock Cotehele in 7mm scale.....' It's getting better by the post, I shall have to visit the show now. No excuses for Stubby47 not to attend either, might even get away for a few hours from his Malvina Reynolds inspiration - Google it.... PS - Dave, are you able to add '26th March' to the heading?
