G-BOAF
Oxford Diecast have just relased their Low Loader in Heanor Haulage Livery. http://www.ehattons.com/stockdetail.aspx?SID=33557 (other sources of supply are also available!!!!) Given this is not a gooseneck trailer, is is reprasentative of a trailer that could carry rail vehicles. I'm guessing its a generick trailer, because the Heanor website does not show a similar adjustable length low loader. What would the ramp be made of (installed pieces or rail packed by sleepers)? Has anyone modified such an item to include a rail deck? Thoughts Tempted for £16.
RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted February 8, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 8, 2011 The trailer is a Nooteboom unit. They have been used for moving rolling stock in particular London EMU cars for scrapping.
RMweb Premium newbryford Posted February 8, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 8, 2011 Has anyone modified such an item to include a rail deck? I have plans to use another trailer like this for £6 to make an even bigger trailer! And then put a 31 on it. Incidentally, you can buy the Rawcliffe tractor unit for £6 also, but if you buy them as a pair, it's £19.... Cheers, Mick
Coach bogie
I do not much about lorry types etc, not my bag, but at Tees the haulage team, assemble a temporary track. Mike Wiltshire
