Trimming Drive Pin on Traintronics Point Motor

Hi 55 016, I just use a cutting disc in a mini drill. Better if you have a few to do as you have to be careful not to get the pin too hot or you can melt the tie bar. Just cut a little, let it cool/move on to the next. Cut a little more, etc. Done this on Peco's, Seeps, Tortoises as well. hth, kev.

I use one of these bolt cutters specifically for the purpose - £5.47 from DCC Supplies.

If you're using a slitting disc in a mini-drill then take care not to cut a slit in the adjacent point blade. And above all wear safety goggles: these discs are fragile, very sharp and shatter easily!
