malcolmy
Hi, I don't know I'd this is the best location for this question but it seems related to the original post. I am going to be operating my 50 points with Cobalt motors. Having downloaded and read the instructions I decided it was worthwhile following the suggested cosmetic improvements to my Peco code 100 points. However recently purchased Peco points are different to those 'butchered' in the instructions. I've ended up with points where the blades are now only connected with the little interference fit clips. In operation the whole blade/tie bar assembly could come adrift. Have I made a mistake? Or will it all be ok once the points are laid and the motors fitted? Here's hoping!
RMweb Gold beast66606 Posted October 18, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 18, 2012 Can you post a picture of the points ? before and after, top and underside if possible please.
malcolmy
In theory I can, but I won't be in Swepstone for a couple of weeks, so a slight delay may be apparent!

Whats the model number for the points ? ST-240/241 ?
malcolmy
They are all in the Peco SL-Exx series - e.g. SL-E92 etc.
RMweb Gold beast66606 Posted October 18, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 18, 2012 Looking at photos (and with no experience of the actual item) it looks as though you'll be fine - if in doubt, do one first and then lay it and see if it's ok for your needs*, cheers, * although they look a lot better out of the box these days.
