26power
We’ve had some from “The KDH Archive” on Flickr before, but I don’t think that included these ones. RMweb Premium keefer Posted January 6, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 6, 2015 can't remember if we've had this already. D5119 in blue with old-style numbers and arrows on doors with a nose-first green 20 at eastfield: http://youtu.be/3DEOpF6e68s dubbed on sound is a bit annoying at times, but lots of good stuff anyway
Russell Saxton
The serif numbers on blue and cab door arrows were the ones done at Inverurie. They did their blue repaints with serif numbers for some reason, also on 20s, a 25 and 29s.

RMweb Premium keefer Posted February 16, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) thought i'd have a rake through this thread to find the donny line-up, got as far as post #18, with an entry by your good self 'CHARD: "D5121 60A 11/6/60, 24121 5/74, HA 10/75, stored 22/10/76 and immediately reinstated to work that day's 1A53 17.12 Glasgow - Ayr, remained on stock until Wdn 31/12/76, stored PO 1/77 - 11/77, Carlisle (location not known) 11/77 - 2/78, to Doncaster 14/2/78 - Happy Valentine's Day 24121, cut 5/78." (my bold) EDIT from post #40:"24102 IS 5/74 (from GD), stored Carlisle 10/75, to IS 11/75, Wdn 2/2/76, back to Carlisle 3/76, to Doncaster 14/2/78, cut 19/3/78." 37081LochLong
I've just finally gone through 13 pages of this topic. I'd looked at it before a long time ago but i seem to have forgotten most of it so it was nice to look through all the photos and detail again. I missed the 24's in the highlands, My first visit was the end of the 26's and after that it was the 37's but I have a real soft spot for 24's (even though i've never been a class 25 fan for some reason) I think it was the car headlamps like on the 26's (and 37's in their own way) that attracted me to these machines and even though i prefer the earlier "skinhead/disc headcode" design I like the Scottish ones simply because they are Scottish and have those headlamps. I just wish i'd had the chance to see them working up there.I was looking forward to modifying the Bachmann version and bought the brassmasters conversion kits but then Bachmann announced the headcode box version so I thought i'd detail those instead but we are still waiting for it to even get off the drawing board but hopefully SLW will produce them first nowSo thanks to all the contributers to this thread (Especially 'Chard who reminded me about it) it's been a real interesting read and it's got me wondering if i should dig out the conversion kit and Bachmann 24 that i'd bought ages ago and give it a go anyway! rich11235
Fascinating thread. This may be a naive question (if so I apologise) but did any of the skinhead HBSs end up with morris minor headlights, or were the dates all wrong for that combination of features?
