trisonic
Thanks, Wal! I just think it is a shame that MM station is tucked away at the back. That should be front and center! Beautiful model. Best, Pete.

Dr Gerbil-Fritters
Excellent Wal, thanks. I've always like Melton Mowbray and the railscene around this part of the world since i first passed through behind a pair of 20's on the D&EG Chopper Railtour, 1978 as I recall. Wal W
After studying the pics on the Syston to Peterborough website, kindly posted by John E, it was noticeable that the station buildings on the east end of the station were not quite correct. I have now modified these buildings. As you can see from the pics, I have assumed that the small area behind the curved wall may have been used as a bicycle storage area. Have a look at the pics and see what you think Regards Wal

Dr Gerbil-Fritters
I think you've made a great job - that curved yard seems to match the drawings just fine. Super modelling. And whats not to love about early 80s blue period, about the last decade we had a proper railway in this country.

Littlethorpe
Hi all, My attention has been recently brought to this website. www.metlonmowbrayrailways.info Regards Wal Website is actually http://meltonmowbrayrailways.info/ I was unaware of this website until now....my parents live a short distance from Melton Station. I did consider modelling it & may do at some point but don't think that I could come anywhere near to the quality shown in the preceding photos.
