grahame
I'm planning on making my first ever foray to the Derby show this year and along with a couple of friends have booked rooms at a hotel in Derby for the Friday night so we can have a few beers the night before and get along to the show early on Saturday. I'm quite looking forward to it as being an N gauge modeller it's advertising a rather good range of decent N gauge layouts, some of which I've not yet seen. G. RMweb Premium Mike Bellamy Posted May 4, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 4, 2011 get along to the show early on Saturday. I'm quite looking forward to it as being an N gauge modeller it's advertising a rather good range of decent N gauge layouts, some of which I've not yet seen. Hi Grahame - if you are there for opening time then it will probably be myself or Steve (Ramrig) who will be selling tickets to the queue so that everyone can get straight in without going to the paydesk. You'll need a five pound note to get in plus a pound for your exhibition guide Just looked back at the original postsings which don't appear to have the admissions costs etc and so these are detailed below - we have kept the costs the same for the third year running since we moved to Moorways Sports Centre and this is still cheaper that our previous shows at the Assembly Rooms. Saturday and Sunday 14 & 15 May 10.00am - 5.00pm both days Adults £5 Child £3 Family £13 Moorways Sports Centre Moor Lane Allenton Derby DE24 9HY Remember that the Limited Edition Bachmann wagon Wirksworth Quarries will be available - one per person first come first served. Finally a big THANK YOU to Andy for organising the banner advertising that you may have seen at the top of the page. Mike

RMweb Premium Mike Bellamy Posted May 10, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 10, 2011 Rather surprised that with only a few days to go, and 30 layouts in the list above, that no one apart from Grahame has made any comments about the selection - are none of the layout operators members of RMweb? As usual we have tried to gather together a cross section of scale, gauge, era and location - which covers 2mmFS, N, OO, 4mmNG, O, USA N, USA HO, Continental HO, HOmNG and OeNG - at least 10 variations - even more if any of the 4mm turn out to be EM or P4 Mike
Rammy
Looking forward to the show Mike, and for once I have money to spend too! Would love to spend it on a sound chip, but not sure I'll find one of those at the show. I'm sure I'll end up spending it anyway. Well done to you all for organising this great show. regards Dave
