Alcanman
Hi, Here's a short video shot this afternoon of 37693 and Alcan tankers on my bro's (unfinished) layout I can't believe I must be the only RMWebber who wasn't aware until yesterday that GBRf had hired Deltic 55022 Royal Scots Grey to work the North Blyth - Lynemouth Alcan tanks . I live about 300 yards from the Blyth & Tyne and can see trains from my house. I've gotta get across the river asap to get some pics. I feel ashamed to be Alcanman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F13PilIyUvg&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL Here's a pic back in the day........37709 in charge cheers, Mal

Alcanman
Hi, I thought I'd start of this layout thread with a pic. Of course every pic tells a story....... This is how Websters Steel began, now we come to the end of the story The reason our chum is looking so glum is nothing to do with company cars, it's because he's just found out that Websters is closing and he's been made redundant Here's a pic of the last train from Websters sidings, 37693 making light work of one loaded BDA Is this the end? Find out in the final chapter of Websters Steel cheers, Mal

Alcanman
Hi, Time for the final episode of Websters Steel and there's bad news and good news. The bad news is that that the layout is no more . Websters Steel closed in November 2010 and the layout went to the great council tip in the sky. The good news is that our glum chum has this week found a job with ALCAN. So he is now ALCANMAN Here he is looking rather pleased with himself He was was so pleased with his new car, resplendent in LNER Dragon Green, he took a pic and then along came 56072...... I hope you have enjoyed this little light hearted tale, and on a more serious note, I'd like to thank all RMWeb contributors, who provided me with the inspiration and information and confidednce to attempt a DCC layout. For 2011 I've gone over to the 'Dark Side' The strange looking diesel loco below standing at platform 9 1/2 is waiting to take you there, if you desire. But be warned, the 'Dark Side' can be addictive My new US layout - CSX Palmetto Spur can be followed in 'Overseas Modelling' Happy Modelling Mal
