Ian Holmes
This has got my interest. I've got 2 projects on the drawing board as it is. Both together would come in under 2010 square inches I think. There's the infamous P4 Saltfleet Haven layout and the 009 Welsh Narrow gauge idea. I'll have to sit down and have a think of what to do. invercloy
No personal bias there then... Ian None whatsoever, you could do it in 0-14, 0-16.5, 5.5... where's the bias?

RMweb Gold Russ (mines a pint) Posted November 22, 2009 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 22, 2009 -looking at Saltfleet its the best layout you have in you! - but would you enjoy it? The narrow gauge is excellent, as was the tunnel layout, the mushroom farm. The question has to be, would you rather build something which would be one of the best 'mainstream' layouts ever, or enjoy yourself with the narrow gauge? -only you can answer that, the modelling on Wold Farm was so good, but its not the stuff most people tune into, I personally use challange layouts as a deadline to get things done, think you and me both need this ! Ian Holmes
decisions, decisions... I think Saltfleet would have the edge simply because I already have most of the stuff I need to build it. Track and stock etc: but no baseboard. The 009 layout has the track and baseboard but no stock... Ian
