RMweb Gold Colin_McLeod Posted June 28, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 28, 2012 I approached Peco in Devon and they will supply Code 83 products direct if you get in touch with them.
torikoos
I have some code 83 Peco track, and I concur with everyone here that it's a great looking and great working product. Fragile? hmm maybe, not found that a problem so far, it probably enhances the way it looks though. Code 100 is just way too crude for my tastes. I do mix with some streamline code 75 here and there, but my next projects will be all Code 83 and I happily mix and match other code 83 products (Atlas, Shinohara and Walthers, ME) when I have some left over from previous projects. coachmann
I 'discovered' this thread though Google and it has been an absorbing read. I expect some of you have mixed Shinohara Code 83 Pointwork with Peco Code 83 and wondered if a couple of questions could be answered please..... Are both track systems exactly compatable with same sleeper thickness? What do folk think of the Shinohara #8 double slip. Is the slip Insulfrog or Electrofrog? coachmann
Well, over three years have passed and no updates. I wondered if you ever did buy and lay the code 83 #6 double slip?
The Bigbee Line
Well, over three years have passed and no updates. I wondered if you ever did buy and pay the code 83 #6 double slip? Coach, sorry, that one slipped off my radar. I’m trying to avoid new purchases....
