johna
Folks I am building a oo gauge wall using Wills course sheets and have applied a coat of dark grey paint. What is is best way now to apply a lighter colour of grey/white paint for the mortar. Also what does the term "dry brushing" mean? Many thanks Johna
RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted May 22, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 22, 2011 One well-known method is to brush the whole thing over with a light-coloured coat - then wipe off as much as you can, leaving the light colour in the cracks between the stones. Make sure you don't let the coat dry before wiping!
Ben Alder
There are as many ways of finishing this stonework as there are modellers doing it , but here is a link to my method. The subject pops up from time to time and if you can get the search to function there are several methods shown. HTH, Richard
