Ginsters Livery Class 158

Recommended Posts

I would like to relivery one of our Class 158's in the Ginsters livery. Is anybody able to point me in the direction of or be prepared to let me have good quality side on shots of the Posters and the Sea Scenes to use for making transfers. Good old Google has not been able to supply either the correct shots in a good enough quality.

Thanks in advance

Dave

See roof photos here, about half way down the page: http://ukrailwaypics.smugmug.com/UKRailwayPics-2/Wales-and-Borders/20635656_z87ZS4#!p=2&n=30

In this one, the G is on the right behind the cab and the s is on the right next to the exhaust: http://ukrailwaypics.smugmug.com/UKRailwayPics-2/Wales-and-Borders/20635656_z87ZS4#!i=2260938136&k=sF6GQx7&lb=1&s=A.  That matches this video from 0:21 (although it's not the full livery):

Somebody did this in a early issue of model rail iirc with there own transfers. Might be of use

We have several of them - there should be a "Pasty Express" running on Widnes this coming weekend at the Liverpool Show.

I contacted Gingsters and got permission to use their logos.

Okay - bit of link shuffling and photo moving later, and my Ginsters 158 images (including the livery elements) can now be found in one place here, you should be able to access larger versions of the livery elements via this link:

Simon - if you send me a PM with your email address I also have a related doc that may help with creating home decals.

(I've also done the same for 158842 - the Western Mail advertising unit, along with one of the 'Valley Lines' 150s...)

The biggest issue I had was which way around to put the roof logos, which the images and the vid since posted has answered for me so my Ginsters 158 is now fully vinyled just needing a little detailing and some weathering.

The help received here was most appreciated.

best wishes

Simon

Hows the project going with the Ginsters 158?

I love seeing these units modelled, probably one of the greatest liveries in recent times!

I did a quick feature on mine in Model Rail about 9 years ago with my primative homemade transfers but really fancy doing a new version on the impending re-tooled Bachmann 158!
