shortliner
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKmHvJOPp-Q&feature=player_embedded#! Love the layout - shame about the speed of the switching though which makes it seem rather toy-like - it could do with the 45 tonner running at about half that speed, instead of running around like a demented cockroach, and they WILL switch MUCH more slowly. brossard
I agree, the layout is very well executed. So rare to find something of that quality. I also agree that the switching could be more sedate. I like to use momentum which prevents jerky stops and starts - but you have to have patience. If the operation was at an exhibition, it could be that the operators wanted to keep things moving briskly to entertain the punters. People who have no real interest in railways have short attention spans - there with the kiddies as a rule. We did an exhibition this past weekend and that was my impression. shortliner
Yes, I hear what you are saying about exhibition operating - but I feel that if it was being filmed by Paul for Youtube display, they could have operated a little more prototypically. A word of explanation to any visitors would , I'm sure. not have spoiled their enjoyment for the couple of minutes it would have taken.
