37175
....... 9F No. 92009 at St Margaret's on Sunday 4th July 1965. Although the caption in the book suggests that the loco had probably worked into Edinburgh from the WCML, my view is that it almost certainly got there over the Waverley Route and has already been turned ready to head south on the Monday morning. It is known that at least 15 9Fs worked over the WR, including 92009. Apologies for the 10-month wait, Bill! The RO has details of 92009 taking the 0440 MO class 6 Millerhill-Carlisle on Monday 5th July 1965 (normally worked by the LMR EE Type 4 off the 2127 SO Manchester Exchange to Aberdeen newspapers). Sadly though, there's no mention of how 92009 arrived at St Margarets. However, as well as 92009, 9Fs on the Waverley Route in July 1965 included: 92208 (down 7th then up light same day) 92019 (down 7th, up 8th) 92233 (up 14th) 92130 (up 28th) I've got the specific workings if there is any interest.
