RMweb Gold NeilHB Posted December 5, 2009 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 5, 2009 Evening all, I'm looking for a number of drawings of industrial diesel locomotives, preferably in 7mm scale. First up: Planet Hibberd: http://www.royalgunpowdermills.com/images/attractions/hibberd_planet_2008.jpg Simplex Petrol Loco: http://cra.photos.gb.net/p56415099.html Ruston 48DS: http://cra.photos.gb.net/p56415101.html And lastly, not a diesel loco, but industrial steam, namely a Coffee Pot vertical boilered loco, preferably similar to this one if possible: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3612/3626791706_a7853a83a8.jpg Also, if anyone knows of any kits available for any of the above locos in 7mm scale/0 gauge it would make my life very easy indeed Hopefully someone will be able to point me in the right direction. Ta very much in advance.
halfwit
For the Simplex see 'The Early Years Of The Motor Rail And Tramcar Company' by W.J.K. Davies. 'Ruston And Hornsby Locomotives' by Eric Tonks and 'The Ruston Class 48DS And 88DS Locomotives' by David R. Hall both have drawings of the 48DS. Not sure where you'll find a drawing of the Hibberd although Noneminstre Models do a 4mm kit. The 'coffee pot' is a Head Wrightson at Seaham Harbour. RMweb Gold NeilHB Posted December 7, 2009 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted December 7, 2009 The Ruston and one simeler to the Simplex are part on the Imptus range say no more. Ah cheers for that, explains why I can't find any kits for them!

Pint of Adnams
The Ruston and one simeler to the Simplex are part on the Imptus range say no more. A bit cryptic and could possibly be construed as defamatory - do you have any particular reason to cast aspersions? It IS possible to obtain kits from the former Impetus range now with Karlgarin - I did last summer. A polite enquiry to Rich McLeish might bring about a positive result, provided that the purchaser is prepared to accept a set of etches from the original master, whitemetal castings from the original patterns, and a copy of the original instruction sheet. 'Etches from Essex' might just be a possibility.

steves17
Was there any luck with finding plans for the No.17 coffee pot at Seaham by chance? There was a link in one of the above posts that might of been related but it is quite dead now. Regards Steve
