RMweb Gold Enterprisingwestern Posted January 12, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 12, 2012 if i can mount the speaker somewhere else. I milled out the recess on the chassis block to fit a bass enhanced speaker under the grille, doesn't need a great deal removing.

Don't give up. ESU (in my case via SouthWestDigital) have replaced 2 chips that I killed (functions went high) without quibble. It's not a waste. You've put a lot of money and time into it and you've learn a lot. Sleep on it and I'm sure that tomorrow you'll not want it to beat you. Contact Howes / SouthWest Digital and talk with them. If the both come back "no" then ok flog it. But give them the opportunity to help. I cannot believe you're the only one to have trapped wires resulting in a slowly dying chip. the penguin of doom
Hi Michael. Below are some circuit board shots for you as promised. I'm not sure if they're exactly what you require, but I'll keep the body off for now so if you want some more, let me know. Obviously, in some of the shots the chip has been removed..... Cheers. Michael Delamar
thats great, i wanted it to show my dad who said i should have soldered the wires to the m+ m- on the board, even though I was convinced they didnt come loose from there. the penguin of doom
They look like the new Shawplan plates Michael? I've a set myself waiting for their turn in the detailing queue and very nice they look too..... Cheers. Sean.
'CHARD
Interesting how this and certain other loco 'plates had raised edging, whereas many others did not, Royal Tank Regiment, for one.
the penguin of doom
Yes. Royal Tank Regiment is another one waiting in the wings and is my favourite loco. No beading round the edge on this one. I'm also a fan of Grenadier Guardsman and this one has no beading either. Perhaps it depended on whether the loco was named in works or not - just speculation though, not based on fact..... Cheers. 'CHARD
RTR! EDIT: where names, livery and nose style altogether are concerned, for me there's no choice: http://www.flickr.com/photos/robertcwp/2518659463/ although it has to be pre-TOPS, no D-prefix plain old '60.' muddys-blues
Hi Michael, did you get the Peak back up and running ? Regards Craig.
rob D2
Hmmm, see what you mean about being a Bo-Bo on pick ups, my 45053 won't run through a particular point one way without stalling, all the others will (bachy37/47, Hornby 60), may have to examine the pick ups... Michael Delamar
just a heads up that the loco is now in the classifieds. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/classifieds/item/3432-Bachmann-detailed-renumbered-and-weathered-peak/
