The current tooling for the ScR Heljan 27 with token recesses is dated for the time they had gangway doors fitted. 5355 had a 'flush' front end with these doors sealed so at present this cannot be accurately represented.

However once the existing tooling has been modified then there is a likelihood that things could change...........

Hi Guys

Have just bought D5356 in all green but wondered what livery variations said loco appeared in during the 1960's particularly with its table catcher recess and gangway doors present? GSYP, GFYE? Presume it wore a coat of blue at the end of the 60's?

Thanks

Alex

Loco carried Green before receiving GSYP, only other change to D5356 was in 1969 when it received GFY, retaining its white cab side windows and lining. Tablet catcher recess and connecting doors with were still in position and the loco carried this livery up to at least Aug 73. Loco was renumbered in Nov 73 and this 3 month period I can't account for, with no evidence of it carrying blue pre TOPS or green into TOPS, but most probably received blue livery when renumbered.

Jamie,

I agree the BSYP looks great.

5389 (minus the 'D') at Dundee July 1970 seen here -

5389 Dundee July 70 Slide 1322

from Bush Veteran's site suggests they've got it right though.

The turn of the decade 68-72 is just so damed colourful! Probably the most intersting variation of liveries until we got to the sectorisation/privatisiation era?

Strange that in amongst that Heljan selection that there's no GFYP version?

Regards,

Stewart
