RMweb Gold Revolution Ben Posted January 20, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 20, 2012 Hello all, I'm going to be at a loose end in Bury St Edmunds tomorrow and wondered whether there are any decent photographic locations in the area - especially for freight trains. I'm guessing that a few intermodals from Felixtowe are likely to pass through - but what other traffic might I possibly see...? Thanks in advance for any help or info! cheers Ben A. dseagull Posted January 20, 2012 Share Posted January 20, 2012 Not sure what either are like now, as it's been 3 or 4 years, but Ely and especially Ipswich used to be well worth it, even on a Saturday. Ipswich has the bonus of loco hauled passenger trains passing through and a stabling point bang opposite Platform 4 for when things get quiet.
