EBay madness

Got an offer for the duff King Arthur with the wrecked connecting rods now😂. I'm getting a bit paranoid  that EBay think I'm their main purchaser of tat. Cheap tat, guilty as charged but I draw the line at high priced tat (unless it's a hand-crafted birdsnest)

Great, what will you be wanting to offer for this genuine bird's nest I found in our garage only yesterday?

If it's 00 scale with hand painted eggs, name your price.  😉

For that price, I would rather travel on a real sleeper train.

Why would you pay this for an OO LNWR Coal Tank from a K's kit when you can buy a new Bachmann version for £100 or so.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255989244643

Mind you a look at TMC's website shows they must have been taking some sort of illusory substance as they have others at similar money and an unbuilt K's kit at over £200.

"Please inspect images for condition refence." Yes that is a very nice box.

"Car body condition texture is top notch." Really, what does that mean? When......

"Box is unopened and unused."

As a modeller of the LNWR I appreciate nice, well built models but here is another seller who  has been  sniffing something they shouldn't.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203948398322

"beautifully made and painted" and  "In need of repair". Otherwise the description is reasonable and even if you model P4 gauge, not worth a low bid.

The rarely photographed sunshine cab version?

You might want that wreck for its motor/gearbox/wheels...but not at that price.

£150 for a Lima loco? It's nicely done and I also have some modified Lima, but I wouldn't value them at £150 either!

Or for a bit more...

I'm just going to be patient and wait for the Cavalex version.

I do like the description of pristine condition which fails to note the missing buffer.

Surely if you want £175 for your loco, spending a tenner or so with Peters Spares for a new set is a worthwhile investment?

Not eBay madness, but Hattons madness.

They want HOW MUCH for a Hornby Class 31 thats turning to dust at both ends?

But the box is good so that makes it okay then, doesn't it?
