RMweb Gold ian Posted June 21, 2012 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted June 21, 2012 Apparently I am in contavention of the Small Scale Railway and PCV Regulations (1997) Section 3, Sub-section D, paragraph vii in that I have never placed a bus on the rail bridge at Hatton. Seriously though, if you are modelling the current UK scene then the Oxford Die-cast Plaxton Elite in National Express livery is not only a great model but can find a home anywhere in England or Wales - it carries a London destination so could reasonably be seen on country roads, in towns or villages. But not in Scotland - sorry!

RMweb Gold ian Posted August 11, 2012 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted August 11, 2012 Helpful hint: if you want to put figures in one of the new Farish Mk.I coaches DO NOT remove the roof. Run your fingernail along the chassis/body join instead. You don't notice that they are there, until you catch a fleeting glimpse as the train goes past. Perhaps I should have a doctor strangling a young lady...
SNCF stephen
It is nice to see the progress of this layout. It has been one I have enjoyed following for some time. The GWR coaches look great with their passengers installed. Are these for a charter train or are you changing period?
RMweb Gold ian Posted August 12, 2012 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted August 12, 2012 ...are you changing period? Hmm. Demolish the industrial units, rip up the car park and reinstate the goods yard. I think I'll pass on that! These are for a steam special as part of the (very) long term West Midland Lines project.
