Cliff Williams
Following on from the successful DVD a few years ago John Ryan is pleased to showcase the massive changes that have been made to Over Peover with the addition of Castle Cross and extensions to the circuit. Andy Y has covered the layout recently in MI3 in still format and I have been steadily gathering footage of Over Peover for the forthcoming DVD, to help promote the forthcomng DVD John is pleased to announce the Youtube channel set up by Cliff Williams http://www.youtube.com/user/overpeover to showcase some of the early "rushes" from recent filming by Cliff Williams. Enjoy the sight of Norman Solomon's fine work complemented by many others along the way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSq7Krw3zvA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpoL7w0OBdY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RA4JUflg2nI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FelQZW-yC-k http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YKD-LfpBMA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5dXhYafJ88

RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted April 3, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 3, 2012 Very nice, really shows off the trackwork as well as the beautiful stock. Sound being used very well too, this will certainly join the list of classic layouts
steve fay
Great videos Cliff. The Golden Age stuff is superb & the layout has changed loads since the last DVD. Is the DVD to purchase or free with a mag?
Cliff Williams
Hi Steve the DVD will be to purchase. Hi Simon - the filming method is my little trade secret at this stage, sorry!
Spotterdoyle8
Brilliant camera angles
Robert McGee
Could it be a GoPro which was used to film? Very small, and easy to use, gives good quality.
DaveArkley
This is without doubt the best model footage I've seen. What a fantastic layout and stock. Must be huge fun to play with.
ozzyo
Hello all, fantastic videos of the layout, any chance of a track plan? In video 5 did anyone notice the ride of the rear bogie on the first Mk1. It looked like it was ready for shopping. OzzyO.
Cliff Williams
Well spotted OzzyO ! It does need some attention, I will get the C&W team to fix it, first thing though is to find the coach again!!!!!
Markeg
Excellent stuff Cliff, Love the Silver Jubilee flying around the line. I have the BRM dvd and have been watching the improvements Anthony Reeves (Treemendus) has been making to this layout on Facebook. Look forward to the dvd. I had my Hornby A4 Sparrow Hawk with sound pulling 9 coaches on a large layout (32') at the exhibition over easter which I organised, and you could hear it from anywhere in the large hall. TerrySVR
Stunning model would you mind sharing your thoughts on how you planned such an extensive layout ?. Thanks
Cliff Williams
Sorry Terry I cannot answer your question with authority as I am not the layout owner. I do know that John Ryan's relatives were involved with building A4s so this is probably the driving force to make an LNER Mainline layout.
TerrySVR
Ok thanks Cliff
JeffP
Lovely layout, but I'm sorry to say that the sound and smoke turn me right off. the sound is tinny, worse than diesels, and the smoke is too sparse, and not properly synced with the motion. I'd do without either.
Simond
Jeff I completely disagree!!! I LOVE the two sound modules I have bought to date, and will progressively replace all the chips in my locos (pop goes the bank balance!) as and when. Yes, the smoke could be better synched (I had a TriAng jinty which did actually "puff" - what did they call it, synchrosmoke?) and there could be drain cocks, and injector exhaust & overflow, and, and... But it's just great! And, in the final analysis, it ain't compulsory, Rule 1 applies ... Cheers SD
