GeorgeT's (7mm Workbench) TPO

Hi George,

How did you manage to remove the numbering? What did you use as I found them rather stubborn!

Jinty ;)

Hi Jinty, l used 3000 grit paper with water and a fibre pen very lightly, as you say they are a to shift then touched up with some Railmatch BR blue acrylic, when dry l will brush on some Johnson Klear then apply the transfer l got from Railtech..

The railmatch blue looks a decentish match on there. It wasn't/isn't on my blue Dapol N gauge 56 which is a pain as I want to paint the roof grilles blue (black on the model for some reason) but it stands out like a sore thumb with the colour mismatch.

Well l was getting on fine ? then found the transfers l bought were too big ? as they over lapped the cabside

So l went for a smaller number with transfers l already had, l think its the wrong number ? but it fits..

Excellent work mate, even if you cant use it on your Layout, I'm sure someone on here would find a use for it, even if it did need painting into a decent colour, like BR Western Brown and Cream, or Midland Maroon and Cream, hhahahha :nono:  :nono: :nono:  :nono:

Thanks Andy, l am really pleased with the box and will put it at entrance to the yard, should look good there, also l am trying to get the workbench tidy and trying to sort out where l can fit my spray booth without being in the way and fixing some sort of light to it, thinking LEDs ?...

I'd go for a Desk Lamp that you can angle into the booth and also use on your workbench ready for when YOU fit your next Chips or put on the Layout for doing small details.

Always wanted a spray booth set up all the time in the workshop but never had the room, it is such a pain setting it all up just to do a wagon, so at the end off my shelf right near the window (ideal for the extraction tube) I have now got a permanent set up.......great light when the sun is out and when its not 105 LEDs show the way..
