Talltim
Hence the automated announcements at Sheffield " the 17:something service for ... Retford. Change at ... Retford for services beyond ... Retford" I can't help but think the phrasing needs some work Glad no- one was seriously hurt Edit: to sort out annoying removal of purposeful extra spaces
Edwin_m
I think it was coming out of the tunnel and wouldn't have derailed until it hit the debris beyond the tunnel mouth. Shame "Inspector Bridges" isn't a bridge inspector.
James
Surprisingly , according to the report ion TRUST it hasn't caused as much delay as cable thievs did in Shiffield last night!
Pete2210
A landslide there doesn't surprise me too much, we were staying in our Caravan last weekend at Clarborough and it barely stopped raining all weekend, and water was pouring out of field drains around there. The wettest drought I've ever known! Pete
eastwestdivide
National Rail has links to some Network Rail close-ups via here: http://www.nationalr...54/details.html Meanwhile, a few miles to the W, the River Don in Rotherham is looking very threatening, fast-flowing and high, with plenty more water to come down from the hills even if there's no more rain falling right now.
