CraigZ
I think that is the first time i've seen an example of one of those, Craig! Are any still existing, anywhere? Looks like it walloped something with one of the tanks........... Very nice "Martian - like" water tank in the background too - whereabouts was this taken? Best, Pete. Pete, if you loitered around the yard at Pomona during your time here, you saw one Photo in Goldsboro, North Carolina back in 1985. The water tank is the strangest one I've ever seen. The North Carolina Transportation Museum has Southern GP30 #2601 they'll use to pull the 'tourist train' there. There was one at Chadbourne NC on the Carolina Southern that they used regularly for a number of years....no idea if they're still using it.
Jez
Dave, the Kato chassis gives far superior slow, smooth running qualities in my opinion. The Kato frame needs a small amount of modification - nothing that a hacksaw couldn't fix. If I could swap out all my loco chassis for Kato I would be a happy camper, except for a couple of excellent running Atlas locos. Jez
woodenhead
The Geep appears to have a contraption on top of it's cab holding two plastic containers of liquid - anyone know what it is?
