Removed a/c
I thought of having a stab at painting a Class 86 into Network Rail livery. Looks like it would be a more simple conversion for a first timer. My problem is that I am in Canada and to to sure if importing paints from the UK is possible. I have a supplier of Humbrol Rail Colours and was wondering if these would be suitable:- http://www.humbrol.com/paints/rail-colours/ab2419-ews-yellow-rc419/ http://www.humbrol.com/paints/rail-colours/ab2422-intercity-grey-rc422/ http://www.humbrol.com/paints/rail-colours/ab2406-buffer-beam-red-rc406/ http://www.humbrol.com/paints/rail-colours/ab2401-dirty-black-rc401/ Thanks in adavance. RMweb Premium newbryford Posted May 23, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 23, 2012 EWS yellow (sometimes called EWS gold) is more of a mustard colour. Note that the yellow on the ends is warning panel yellow and the sides are Network rail yellow - slightly more of a "lemon" shade than the warning yellow. Humbrol do an acrylic yellow that isn't too far from warning yellow. No 154 This may be of some help to source other makes of paint http://scalemodeldb.com/paintcharts/ral I would've thought that acrylic paints would be ok for international mailing. This was a while agoi, but it may be worth checking if they can still post them international. Regards Graham
