mkwolf1877
New venue, more space, more layouts We are pleased to announce that our 2013 annual model railway exhibition will be held on Saturday 16 February 2013, from 10.00am – 5.00pm. Admission prices Adults: £5.00 Children/Concessions: £3.00 Family Groups (2+2): £10.00 New venue for 2013 We are pleased to announce a new venue for the exhibition this year: Shenley Brook End School Walbank Grove Shenley Brook End Milton Keynes MK5 7ZT With two large halls linked by wide corridors, this venue offers roughly double the space of the venue we have used in the last couple of years. Our Exhibition Manager, Terry Silver, explains the change of venue: ‘We know that crowding was an issue for some visitors at our February 2012 show. Attendances have more than doubled over the last three years, so we felt it was time to find a larger venue offering more space for visitors and exhibitors. We look forward to welcoming everybody to our 2013 show which will, as always, offer something for everyone.’ Check back to this page for further details as they become available More info & updates on our website http://www.mkmrs.org.uk/exhibitions/ Like us on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/pages/Milton-Keynes-Model-Railway-Society/211321808906405 Follow us on Twitter @MK_Model_Rail

ianbartlett
Exhibition update! Delighted to announce that the exhibition will be opened by 'Mr Hornby' himself, Simon Kohler (Hornby Marketing Manager). Also, you may have seen Lower Brightwell featured in the March Hornby Magazine (out today!). Lower Brightwell will be at the exhibition and will be demonstrating the new Hornby handheld device app which complements the existing Railmaster software. We haven't mentioned catering yet, but just to confirm that there will be food available in the school canteen area this year - sandwiches, cakes, tea, coffee etc. Hope to see you there. RhBBob
'Winterschlaf' operators, Bob and Ian, thoroughly enjoyed the day so many thanks to all who organised and ran this event. As Terry Silver said, you seem to go from strength to strength each year which is very pleasing for the hobby. Venue was heaving all day with a real family feel to the atmosphere. Hope you break last year's record of 1,800 through the door.
