  1. In which case mine will be after yours: T!
  2. Me too - pre-ordered in March 2021 and updated my CC details in October last year via their website.
  3. I'm picking my blue pair up from Trains4U tonight and they said that they are including the P4 wheelsets for both. HIH Richard
  4. I'd buy the booklet as well. I have your book but it's still on my pile of books to read. I'll get to it sometime!
  5. Hi Sorry if I've missed this, but is there a list of retailer exclusives? I've found the KRMC ones (obv.), and Rails have 45060, D65 and Hattons have two un-numbered versions of 45/1 (both sealed beam headcode panels, one with a hi-intensity headlight). TIA Richard
  6. OK fair enough ... I've just pre-ordered the Intercity Executive version, and I dropped in the notes for the order that I would like P4 wheelsets, but I'll state it here as well. Thanks (for helping spend yet more money with you :-) Richard
  7. Sorry I didn't make myself clear - will you be doing P4 wheels for the 89? Thanks
  8. Again out of era for me, like my wish list for 37501/502 in their original guise, but I'm hovering over the purchase now button ... But will you be doing P4 wheelsets? Thanks
  9. Oh don't get me wrong, when centre and split headcode variants in "plain jane" banger blue suitable for early eighties are announced I'll buy them by the bucket load - nearly as many class 40's I'd get (hint...hint...)
  10. If we're wish listing 37's then although completely out of my modelling period (so far out as it would even break Rule 1), but I'd love the 37501 "Teesside Steelmaster" / 37502 "British Steel Teesside" pair - in their original guises. Go on, you know you want to...
  11. 31409 for me, and if/when a tops 31/1 turns up (early 80's condition please) I'll have that too.
  12. Long story short: I've never been interested in Deltics as I missed them when I was spotting, and they were all withdrawn before the setting for my layout, and didn't do charters until after my layout is set. But I have ordered 55005 anyhow... If I wanted to order another one to renumber, what do I need to worry about detail wise? I see it's got double windscreen wipers, and a quick look on Flickr suggests that 55004/18/21 where also fitted with these in 1981. I quite fancy 55021 ... But what else do I need to worry about? Longer story: I've decided to be a bit more flexible with the history around my layout, and if I bring the asbestos related shortage of DMUS from the late 80's forward to my timeframe (1983), and delay the introduction of HSTs on the Midland Mainline by a year or two, so the peaks weren't released for trans Pennines services, I could probably stretch reality a little to say that handful of Deltics were kept on (with donor parts from the withdrawn ones) to supply this route, along with generator 47s. (Now Bachmann a generator 47 with plated/sealed headcode panels and no high intensity light please...) Thanks in advance Richard
  13. Mylo, a nine and a bit week old border collie: Already a handful, but loving every minute...
  14. Although perhaps to be taken with a pinch of salt, but a couple photos on flickr might suggest otherwise: 40183 Aintree 24/04/83 | A busy scene at Aintree station on … | Flickr 47012 leaking steam at Newcastle | 47012 awaits departure ti… | Flickr Luckily for my bank balance, that I'll skip this one ...
  15. I'm so sorry to hear of Gordon's passing. I'd like to pass on my condolences to his family and friends.
  16. I've, silently, followed Gordon on here and Templot Club, and like others I thought he'd turned a corner and was on the slow road to recovery. I'm so sad and sorry to hear the latest news. I'll be thinking of Gordon and his family.
  17. I'll just add that it looks like Cavalex are doing 56120 with the orange cant line - which, going from Flickr, wasn't present until 1988-ish.
  18. I've just got a Bosch AXT 25TC and it's shredded everything I've thrown at it so far. Which has been a big elder bush/tree, a Holly bush and a rose bush (not recommended as it catches on stuff as it's dragged into the crushing bit) In a couple of weeks time it's hopefully going to crush a lot of laurel and beach hedging. The downside was the price and it's quite heavy and not that easy to move about over gravel.
  19. I'm not a VET! But during the later stages of our collie's cancer and he stopped eating our vet recommended Cannabis/CBD oil (the legal stuff). Just a few drops once a day (under the tongue - yeah right), and he was eating better than he ever did (we has always a fussy eater). I like to think it kept him going a good 5 months more than he would have done, and he was pretty active right up until the end. He was given days to live at one point, but he just carried on for months - bless him.
  20. I received a little detail pack today, after sending an email to Hornby - so I'm happy about that.
  21. Was going to suggest a driver experience course for my birthday to the wife, until I saw how much they are...

Go for something cheaper like a disposal experience. Bet there's a queue for that!

  22. Aren't dogs odd creatures. You shove two fingers down it's throat twice (worming pills), and you'd think it wouldn't come anywhere near you again for a while. But here he is fast asleep in my study.

There are only two ways my dog will swallow a worming tablet, either it gets pushed down or it gets hidden in Wensleydale cheese.

  23. bit or a 'mare today, went into the office, connected laptop to network "computer not trusted by domain", sorted that out and then "account locked" all day long. IT can't find out why, and why it's different from when I connect from home. Result complete waste of a day.
