Guest 34008Padstow
One of the highlights of the clay weekend at the Bodmin and Wenford was a trip in the brakevan hauled by class 37 37142 along with five wagons. The ride was a bit bumpy and rocky in places but was incredible. Something that wont be forgotten in a long time. Here are the pics
Rivercider
Interesting photos. I realise the wagons are not hooded in the proper sense, but this illustrates the problem of possible water contamination only too well. cheers
RMweb Gold Ramblin Rich Posted July 24, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 24, 2012 Nice images, although the hoods could do with a bit of weathering! When I first saw the title I thought it was going to feature Bristol...
RMweb Gold JohnR Posted July 24, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 24, 2012 To think that this could have been a regular occurance if the line to Wenford had reopened..... damned cycle path!
RMweb Gold Ramblin Rich Posted July 24, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 24, 2012 To think that this could have been a regular occurance if the line to Wenford had reopened..... damned cycle path! Nice thought, but given the works closed in 2002 it wouldn't have been for long. Maybe the B&W would have got an extended line out of it, but the number of people using the path/cycle track would probably prefer it in that condition....
