edcayton
I know this has been discussed on here before, but I can't find it. Is this set an accurate reproduction of an LT train, or have the wagons been repainted/marked in any way to distinguish them from BR stock? I'm probably going to buy the set anyway cos' I don't half like the look of the red pannier, and the wagons will come in useful anyway, but it would be more attractive if more prototypical. Xerces Fobe2
Check this out on the Rails of Sheffield site https://railsofsheffield.com/midnight-metropolitan-train-pack-30-076-JJJA18899.aspx IMO A bit too clean and a little too generic! RMweb Premium brushman47544 Posted August 13, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 13, 2012 When I was in the UK briefly at the end of July, I visited the LT Museum. In the shop there were two or three of the earlier single LT Pannier release (32-217) still available. Interestingly, the shop also had the NRM/Bachmann Midland Compound for sale. I suppose as two national museums they have some sort of sales agreement. Good if in London and you want to see before you buy...
