Bachmann Class 47s ? 50 Not Out

2012 marked the 50th Anniversary of the Brush Type 4 (later Class 47) diesel locomotives which has resulted in three new OO scale models being announced today by Bachmann Europe Plc.

Think they've been announced for some time Graham, certainly the first 3 have been on the Bachmann website for a while.

Nice to have the new liveries, I quite fancy 715.

Not my era, but they look very good. I'm still hoping for a Serck grilled GSYP version with Clayton/Universal boiler port though at some point. Pretty much de rigeur for the post-'64 Waverley!

Agreed Dave. Barwell continue to miss out a huge slice of two common liveries/ detail configurations: GSYP Serck and Standard Blue Serck with glass headcode panels (TOPS or pre-TOPS). For some unknown reason the powers that be seem to want to foist tri-grilles on transition era and '69-78 modellers. Hang on - that's going on for 33% of the Class's lifespan, let's have some balance!
