And - with pedant hat on - an article entitled 'Single Line Working' which isn't about and doesn't anywhere mention 'Single Line Working' but which is actually about signalling systems on single lines (a longer title I know but still no excuse for a major howler in the title - you can only ever have Single Line Working' - which is a specific method of operation in certain defined circumstances - on a double or multiple line railway where there are lines signalled for use in opposite directions.

Yet again sloppy misuse of terminology appears to then mislead another generation of folk interested in learning something about signalling and operation, grrr.

As a scenic fan, I'll be interested to see how "Topley Dale" progresses - though the odds are it's being built specifically for the Yearbook and won't feature in the magazine.

 

Good selection of Sankey Scenes signage included.

 

I enjoy HM but, not meaning to be too critical, it's starting to fall behind MR and BRM, in my opinion.
