Which Budget Camcorder?

Hi, can anyone recommend a good camcorder for making model railway videos, preferably HD. I have a budget of approx £200.00.

 

So far, I've been using a Fujifilm Finepix S1700 digital bridge camera bought cheaply from ASDA.

However,although this camera produces reasonably good results with an HD facility, it makes an irritating clicking noise on playback.

This fault is well documented on the internet.

 

I now would like to use a camcorder which will, hopefully, produce better results.

I use Panasonic camcorders and have for quite a few years, they produce really good results, the ones I use have Leica lenses.

 

The SD80 is available on Amazon for £195 - other shops etc. available

don't go for a hitachi then, mine did similar, the mic was picking up the lens focusing

i currently have a lidl special camcorder, HD etc, very good for the money (£70ish) but hasn't seen the light of day as i use my iphone to do vids instead

I'm also in the market for a 1080p video camera, mainly to take to gala's etc, but also be good enough for indoor work, I'm also looking around the £200 mark.
