RMweb Gold beast66606 Posted October 4, 2012 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted October 4, 2012 Some great modelling shots there. The number of times I have phtoraphed trains for modelling purposes and forgotten to try and get roof detail shots! Ian Thanks. Me too - fortunately my brain kicked me and said "roof, ROof, ROOOOOF!" as the 90 approached, I was a bit miffed at being on the wrong side of the bridge (the view from the "platform" side is better for this direction) but common sense kicked in and I made the best of the situation (for a change!) The images have an ISO rating of 12800, so glad I bought the new camera !

royaloak
Interesting that the 1st class coaches have HST style large square vents at the ends and the standard class have the 3 small vents.
298
The 90 also appears to have gained an additional round "something" on the non-pan end of the roof. I've not seen anything like that before, and can't fathom out what it is...

forest2807
90004 was the first Class 90 I saw way back in the 80's, brand new in sparkling InterCity livery. Gorgeous, and very exotic looking to my then teenage eyes!
