Bob O
That'll be Horfield. Looked very nice but I didn't see much moving when I went past a few times. Must have just missed a train by a whisker! me too
jwealleans
There was certainly stuff moving on there - more than once I was jerked out of my reverie in the fiddle yard by the sound of a large train approaching at speed and that split second panicky thought of 'Sh**! What's he sending me?'
dirtyden
Trade support was good. I checked up on a few last night but if this is the solution I would hate to see the problem! 1. cnw1995
I am so jealous of those of you with the opportunity to attend shows like this one...
Bob O
Do not knock yourself out. You saved money and missed nothing!
Andy Y
missed nothing! That's nice; several of your fellow forum members put a lot of time and effort into the weekend on the layouts and demo stands.
cromptonnut
Having been an exhibition manager myself in the past for our club Andy I know just how these sort of events just fall together on the day with no issues...
Alan Higgi
What was the total attendance: and was it up or down on previous years?
298
I am so jealous of those of you with the opportunity to attend shows like this one... And I'm jealous of those who get to go to every single show like this, as they've obviously seen all of the layouts and demonstrations before. I'm surprised they find the time to do this, considering they must have a number of high quality layouts set up in a large barn somewhere, and a willing band of employees to build, maintain and operate them at the owner's whim. Andy Y
What was the total attendance: and was it up or down on previous years? I haven't seen any official figures but I believe the Saturday attendance was up and the Sunday a little down giving a similar figure to the previous year. Subscriptions were up though, it must have been the sales team.
Alan Higgi
I haven't seen any official figures but I believe the Saturday attendance was up and the Sunday a little down giving a similar figure to the previous year. I have never seen any figures for the East of England show attendance (or Warley for that matter) but I have heard claims of 7,000 for both would that be your estimate? Dicky W
I have never seen any figures for the East of England show attendance (or Warley for that matter) but I have heard claims of 7,000 for both would that be your estimate? The attendance was just under 5,000 over the two days - as Andy says the numbers were a little down on Saturday but higher on Sunday and the total is about the same as last year.
