Turin 60
I'm currently salvaging an S&D milkvan (SR dia 979) and I wish to paint it in Southern livery as it would have been once the stock had been absorbed (having been split between the SR & LMS) and my queries are (1) would there have been any lining (heart sinks if the answer is yes!) & (2) what numbers were they given. If any one can help that would be wonderfull. John.
brossard
You might want to contact Dave at Roxey for the instructions. I know from other kits of his that these contain a comprehensive list of numbers and livery guide. John
Miss Prism
I'd like to know the answer to this one as well. My thinking is that these vans probably didn't last much after 1930, so maybe they wouldn't have got repainted in SR green at all?
JZ
Once had one of these, a very satisfying kit to build IIRC. Memory tells me that the instructions say it was unlined olive green.
N15class
If they did not last long enough to get SR olive they were probably lined blue. I have recently done a S&DJR 6 wheeled brake, and the best I could find was that they lined all vans.
