A few LMR photos from February 1967

Thanks for sharing. My grandparents used to live at Redbourn near the line and I can remember my grandmother (a teacher) telling me about a day she had off work and so did not catch her regular train. Somewhat late the train appeared around the corner near the house with the traincrew looking out for her having waited over time at the station for her to appear!

The South Beds Loco Club "The Nicky"  September 9th 1958.  I believe this was the last steam hauled passenger train on the Harpenden -Hemel Hempstead (Midland Road) Branch.

A couple taken at Redbourn, and the return at HH.

Then a few taken of HH Midland Road Station taken Sept 1966.  To finish a number taken at Harpenden Junctionin late '50s - early 60s.

LMS Period 3, BGs, with gangways removed as most were later in life.

Merf.

I'm no expert Merf, but are 57' BGs ? I believe that the vast majority of LMS BGs were 50 footers but these look longer, particularly if you try to compare them to the length of the loco.
