Red Baron
Does anyone know of anyone doing a "scalescenes" style of service for backscenes ? Having a perimiter of closing on 80ft to scene - I wondered if there was somewhere I could buy online download and then print out?
Red Baron
Well got some gauge master ones. 4 tubes three sheets in each tube. However contrary to the "advice" in the shop the individual sets dont link.... might have to do some scanning and photochopping to create some "link" sheets. Or might have a tantrum.... Me thinks there is a gap in the market for a web provider who makes backscence to any dimensions "custom"

Anglian
Although its not what your really asking there was a chap exhibiting at the last St Albans show who hand painted backscenes. His work was wonderful especially his cloud formations and I can't help but think that if you airbrushed a simple graduated tone of blue grey fading to nothing at the horizon you'll get away from all those issues of false perspective and sections not linking up. Given the 80ft scope of what you need it is an option. Cloud formations add so much atmospheric character but need rather more developed skill to render effectively. Coombe Barton
You can do it yourself from pix you've taken by using The GIMP (free) http://www.gimp.org/ windows download here - http://www.gimp.org/windows/and then adding the Stitch Panorama plugin - http://stitchpanorama.sourceforge.net/ From experience of stitchng, blandish pix are best where you can fudge the edges using the GIMP tools.
